Story behind Waterbic
Virtual Water aerobics began in 2018 when Ville Hautala, an entrepreneur and M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, who had previously developed technology for extreme conditions, asked himself, ”Why couldn’t water aerobics be practised individually and according to one’s own schedule?”
As Hautala explored this idea further, he quickly realized the transformative potential of his innovation. Virtual Water Aerobics would not only energize existing swimmers but also attract a new wave of customers to swimming halls, enhancing their experience and broadening their reach.
Today, we are honoured to serve over 70 % of public swimming halls and spas in Finland. From 2024 we are offering Waterbic internationally.
